AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 8, SECTION 8-3C-1-B OF THE VILLAGE
CODE,AMENDMENTS TO THE NFPA NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE OF THE
VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE, BY ADDING MC CABLE AS A
CONDITIONAL PERMITTED USE
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That Section 8-3C-1-B of the Elk Grove Village Code, which section refers to
amendments to the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70) adopted by the Village be amended by
adding thereto the following:
4. Section 330.10 Uses Permitted. Type MC cable shall only be permitted when used
to supply light fixtures or electrical equipment in lengths not exceeding six feet
(6') in accessible spaces or twelve feet(12') in concealed spaces.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval according to the law.
