A RESOLUTION RELATING TO PARTICIPATION BY ELECTED OFFICIALS IN
THE ILLINOIS MUNICIPAL RETIREMENT FUND (IMRF)
WHEREAS,the Village of Elk Grove Village is a participant in the Illinois Municipal
Retirement Fund; and
WHEREAS, elected officials with the Village of Elk Grove Village may participate in
the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund if they are in positions normally requiring performance
of duty for 1,000 hours or more per year; and
WHEREAS,this governing body can determine what the normal annual hourly
requirements of its elected officials are, and should make such determination for the guidance
and direction of the Board of Trustees of the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That the position of Mayor qualifies for IMRF participation, as of May 28,
1985.
Section 2: That the Village Clerk is authorized and directed to file a duly certified copy
of this Resolution with the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund.
Section 3: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its date of
passage and approval according to law.
