Approval of Minutes
Minutes for 4/18/2017—Minutes were approved
Invoices for Approval
Invoice# 1010 from Eagle Eye Polygraph LLC for a Polygraph Exam dated 4/7/2017 in the
amount of$250
All invoices were approved.
Correspondence
Order of Suspension dated 03/9/2017 from Chief Walsh for violating Rules and Regulations
of the Elk Grove Police Department and Section 26.1.1A Failure to appear in court when
required or scheduled.
Old Business
1. Fire Promotions Process: Fire Command Staff will review testing material with
Stanard on May 22nd.—Conversation between Union and Fire Department occurred.
Fire Union believes the process should be postponed until November, commissioners
will decide at a later meeting.
2. Discuss the Results of the Psych Evaluations—All police entry candidates passed
evaluations. The board approved all candidates to take medical evaluations.
3. Set a date for remaining Individual Oral Interviews—The Board will hold the final
Individual Oral Interview sessions on 5/23.
4. Update on the Entry Fire Exam—The Fire Entry Process opens at the end of the
month. IO Solutions will collect all data.
New Business
1. Police Academy Update—The Police Chief informed the Commission that the police
are approved for 5 police officers. The Village will use the SLEA academy for police
officer training. The Power Test is held on the 13th and 20th of June and all candidates
must pass for entry into the academy.
Eligibility List
1. Firefighter—Eligibility list containing 109 names will expire on 09/14/2017.
2. Fire Lieutenant—Nine names appear on the eligibility list scheduled to expire on
11/09/2017.
3. Police Officer—Eligibility list Expires February 2111, 2019
4. Police Sergeant—Three names remain on the list scheduled to expire on 07/07/2018.
