HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 3511 - 8/15/2017 - School District District 59 Special Use ORDINANCE NO. 3511 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO COMMUNITY CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL DISTRICT 59 TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN ADMINISTRATION BUILDING IN AN R-3 RESIDENTIAL ZONED DISTRICT LOCATED AT 1001 LEICESTER ROAD.ELK GROVE VILLAGE WHEREAS,the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Village, acting as a Zoning Commission, at a Public Hearing duly called and held according to law considered the question of granting a Special Use Permit to Community Consolidated School District 59 to permit the operation of an Administration Building to house administrative and maintenance staff in an R-3 Residential Zoned District located at 1001 Leicester Road, Elk Grove Village; and WHEREAS,the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, after having considered the recommendation and finding of said Plan Commission, find and believe that it is in the best interest of the Village to issue said Special Use Permit. NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage Illinois as follows: Section 1: That the transcript of the proceedings before the Plan Commission and the findings and recommendations of said Plan Commission are incorporated into this Ordinance. Section 3: That the Special Use Permit is subject to the conditions as set forth by the Plan Commission and contained in their findings and recommendation dated July 10, 2017, which conditions are as follows: • An eight-foot masonry wall, gated at the entry, shall enclose the maintenance yard and also placed in order to screen residents to the west. • The decorative entrance gate to the maintenance yard shall incorporate approved privacy screening. • There will be a heavily, approved landscape berm to the south of the property to screen adjacent residents. 3 • The radii of the north driveway apron shall be of sufficient width to eliminate the need for any on-street truck maneuvering in order that all trucks maneuvering and deliveries take place inside the maintenance yard. • An approved photometric plan will be in place to meet applicable Village requirements. • The Special Use Permit shall not include or permit a commissary to prepare and distribute meals to the schools, provided, however,that the District may petition for an amendment to the Special Use Permit in the future to provide for a commissary to be used to prepare and/or assemble meals to be distributed to the schools throughout the District. Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
