JPZ COMMITTEE MEETING
Tuesday, September 19, 2017

1445 Oakton St
The Committee discussed the petition by Arrow Road Construction to resubdivide the property at
1445 Oakton Street to consolidate the existing two (2) lots into one (1) lot. The existing site
consists of two parcels, and the Petitioner desires to consolidate them into one lot for the purpose
of constructing an office and maintenance facility.
The Committee noted that they had received comments with no objections from the Departments
of Public Works, Community Development, Fire and Police and asked about the comment in the
Police comments regarding restriping the median on Oakton. M. Jablonski explained that the
Police Department had noted that there may be a future concern about trucks waiting to make a
left turn into the facility. The Police Department noted that the potential issue might be resolved
by restriping the painted median with a left turn lane,but had no objections to the petitioner moving
forward with the median as-is.
R. Raphael explained that there will be a Plat of Easement recorded as part of this development
which allows the property to connect to an existing Village drainage ditch.
The consensus of the Committee was to recommend the approval of the petition.
The meeting adjourned at 11:09 a.m.
