Richard Pottker, Charles Sievert, Alvin Krasnow, Richard Sorenson; Secretary Leah Cummins. Others Present: Mr. Mead Killion, Mr. Don Roberts representing the Building Department, and, for a portion of the meeting, the esteemed Trustee fir. Ed Kenna. 1 . Reading of minutes was postponed until the next meeting. 2. New Business: A. Centex Industria} Park Unit 162 It was moved by Cummins, seconded by Sorenson that the preliminary and final of this plat be approved. Centex Industrial Park Unit 163 It was moved by Krasnow, seconded by Sorenson that the preliminary and final of this plat be approved. Centex Industrial Park Unit 164 It was moved by S'iev:ert, seconded by Krasno%,: that the preliminary and final of this plat be approved. B. Chairman of JPZ. Mr. Ed Kenna, new Chairman of JPZ came to share valued insights and goals he has for the future operation of JPZ. He stressed a desire for closer cooperation between the Plan Commission and the Judiciary, Planning and Zoning Committee than has ever before existed. He complimented the Plan Commission on its resolution to only approve plats after all prerequisites had been met; he stated his objective of having a checklist. of routine items priorily handled by department heads before JPZ would deal with. any plat. Our Secretary produced a pro-forma checklist we are allowing to germinate in our fertile minds this summer before formal adoption, which copy Mr. Kenna looked at admiringly, folded and placed in the left breastpocket of his grey flannel suit. He expressed his request that we review the Barton-Aschman Study and submit our recommendation on it to JPZ by Labor Day. No Committee reports wer.e given. No Building Commissioner's report was given. No Chairman' s report was given. The Plan Commissioners bid the Chairman of the JPZ Goodnight, and adjourned their meeting at 10:30 p.m. Respectfully submitted, LC:ms Leah Cummins
