AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7B-5-2:B OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE
VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE PERTAINING TO PERMITTED USES IN THE B-5
TOWN CENTER SHOPPING DISTRICT BY ADDING THERETO HEALTH & FITNESS
CENTERS WITH ANCILLARY SERVICES (INCLUDING TANNING AND HYDROMASSAGE)
AND VILLAGE BOARD APPROVED USES IN SAID DISTRICT
WHEREAS,the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Village, at a Public Hearing duly
called and held according to law, considered the question of approving a Text Amendment to the Zoning
Ordinance of the Village by adding "Health and Fitness Centers with ancillary services (including tanning
and hydromassage)", and "Village Board Approved Uses"to the list of permitted uses in the B-5 Town
Center Shopping District, and deleting "and none other" from the first sentence of Section B: Permitted
Uses.
WHEREAS,the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, after having
considered the recommendation and finding of said Plan Commission, find and believe it to be in the best
interest of the Village that the proposed Text Amendments be added to the Zoning Ordinance as
hereinafter set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Section 7-13-5-2:13, Permitted Uses in the B-5 Business District be and the same is
hereby amended by adding thereto the following:
Health and Fitness Centers with ancillary services (including tanning and hydromassage).
Village Board Approved Uses.
Section 2: That Section 7-B-5-2:13 Permitted Uses in the B-5 Business District by deleting "and
none other" from the first sentence.
Section 3: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
according to law.
VOTE: AYES: 6 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 0
