HomeMy WebLinkAboutPLAN COMMISSION - 11/02/1983 - PLAT OF RESUBDIVISON CENTEX HOMES Minutes Joint Meeting of the ELK GROVE VILLAGE PLAN COMMISSION and JUDICIARY, PLANNING AND ZONING COMMITTEE Date: Wednesday, November 2, 1983 Location: Multi-Purpose Room Municipal Building 901 Wellington Avenue Plan Commission Members Present: JPZ Committee Members Present: John Glass, Chairman Trustee James Petri, Chairman Leah Cummins, Secretary Trustee Joseph Bosslet George Mullen Trustee Edward Hauser Clark Fulton David Paliganoff Orrin Stangeland Plan Commission Member Absent: Frederick Geinosky Staff Present: George B. Knickerbocker, Village Attorney Jon P. Wildenberg, Administrative Assistant The joint meeting was called to order at 7:41 p.m. Plat of Resubdivision - Section 23B (28 Lots) A 28-lot plat of resubdivision was considered. Gerald Harker of Centex Homes stated that the area is to establish model homes at this time. Plan Commission approval is sought conditioned upon Centex Homes complying to all Village Subdivision requirements. Cummins moved to approve the plat subject to the aforementioned conditions. Paliganoff seconded the motion; whereupon the motion was approved by a unanimous voice vote. Conditional Business Use A recommendation from the Plan Commission, dated June 24, 1983 (attached to these minutes) was reviewed by the Plan Commission and JPZ Committee. It was the consensus of both bodies that the recommendations be approved with the exception that Merge Road (east of Rohlwing Road to Devon Avenue) be eliminated. The Village Attorney was directed to work the recommendations into final legislative form. Joint Meeting between EGV Plan Commission and Judiciary, Planning and Zoning Committee Page 2 November 2, 1983 Comprehensive Plan The Village Attorney advised that review and updating of the Comprehensive Plan/Official Map may be done in segments with separate public hearing proceedings for each segment. It was the consensus of both bodies to approach the Comprehensive Plan update in this manner. An area bounded by Biesterfield Road, Devon Avenue, Route 53 and Arlington Heights Road will be slated for first consideration. Soil Erosion and Sedimentation A draft ordinance, dated February 17, 1983, from the Village Engineer was reviewed. The Plan Commission will review the ordinance with the Village Engineer and submit a recommended draft to the JPZ Committee. The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 p.m. Submitted by: . 14), on P.
