Chairman Czarnik called the meeting to order.
STREET MAINTENANCE PROGRAM—2018
The Committee reviewed the proposed street maintenance program,which includes the
resurfacing of 5.8 miles of streets and the rehabilitation of curb, sidewalk and handicap curb
ramps. The 2018 MFT program (3.8 Miles)has an estimated construction cost of$965,000.
The Village has also reserved$160,000 of MFT funds for roadway patching and concrete
work on various streets throughout the Village. The Business Park program (1.8 Miles)
which has an estimated construction cost of$725,000 will be funded utilizing funds from the
EGV 2025,Busse-Elmhurst TIF, and Business Leaders Forum accounts.
In addition,John F. Kennedy Boulevard and Elk Grove Boulevard from Arlington Heights
Road to Victoria Lane will be resurfaced through the use of STP funding. The total project
has an estimated cost of$3,251,239 with the local match being$1,272,039,which will be
funded from the Capital Improvement account.
The Committee discussed the development of a multi-year street rehabilitation program in
order to identify anticipated funding level. A meeting will be scheduled in mid-February to
further discuss the multi-year program.
The Committee approved the 2018 MFT Street Maintenance Program. The Program is
targeted for a contract letting in February 2018.
