AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 2, CHAPTER 13, YOUTH COMMITTEE, OF
THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Section 2-13-1: Committee Created; Membership; Appointment;
Terms: of the Village Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village be, and the same, is hereby
amended to read as follows:
2-13-1: COMMITTEE CREATED; MEMBERSHIP; APPOINTMENT; TERM:
There is hereby created a youth committee that shall consist of nonsworn members. The
members shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Board of
Trustees. It is the intent to balance the committee between adult and youth members.
The committee may enlist the help and support of public and parochial sixth through
eighth grade students as needed or high school students to assist the committee in the
performance of committee functions and activities.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval according to the law.
