Approval of Minutes
Minutes for 12-12-2017 –The minutes were approved.
Invoices for Approval
Invoice # 678537 from Advocate Occupational Health for a fire applicant medical
examination in the amount of $475
All invoices were approved.
Correspondence
Correspondence from Chief Walsh regarding a notice of Suspension.
A memo from a police officer notifying the commission of his resignation.
Old Business
1. Update on the Fire Promotional Process –The Assessment Center Process went as
planned. The ascertained Merit Process begins once scores are received, followed by
seniority then the written exam on 2/13.
2. Update on the Fire Vacancy –The commission scheduled 3 candidates for Individual
Oral Interviews.
3. Update on the Police Promotional Process –The Police Process will begin on 2/13.
Standard has a meeting with Police Command Staff on 2/6 to discuss a schedule.
New Business
1. Police Department Updates –The Police department will be hiring 2 civilian positions
and replacing 1 officer. There are no anticipated openings occurring.
2. Fire Department Updates –No updates.
Eligibility List
1.Firefighter Eligibility List will expire on 09/15/2019.
2.Fire Lieutenant Eligibility list scheduled to expire on 11/09/2017.
3.Police Officer Eligibility list Expires 02/21/2019
4.Police Sergeant Eligibility list scheduled to expire on 07/07/2018.
