OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
HELD ON FEBRUARY 20TH, 2018
Approval of Minutes
Minutes for 1-15-2018 –Minutes were approved.
Invoices for Approval
An Invoice from Alan Friedman and Associates for a psychological evaluation dated
02/6/2018 in the amount of $715.29
An Invoice from Theodore Polygraph Services for Polygraph testing dated 1/29/2018 in the
amount of $175
An Invoice from Theodore Polygraph Services for polygraph testing dated 1/26/2018 in the
amount of 350.
All invoices were approved.
Correspondence
None.
Old Business
1.Authorization of the new Fire Lieutenant Eligibility List.–The new Fire Lieutenant List
was approved by the commissioners. Copies will be posted in the Fire Stations and
around Village Hall.
2.Update on the Fire Vacancy –A candidate is continuing through the process. Will
complete a medical screening, and schedule a start date with the Fire Department
pending results.
3.Update on the Police Promotional Process –Intent to participate was sent out Feb 12th.
Schedule was also sent out. Commissioners will plan IOI’s at a future Board meeting.
4.Candidate Background Reviews –The commissioners reviewed several candidate
backgrounds.
New Business
1.Discussion of increasing the services provided by Stanard and Associates for Police
Entry.–The commission voted to approve Stanard and Associates proposed agreement
for an increased role in the Police recruitment process pending a legal review.
2.Police Department Updates.–The police anticipate that they will have openings coming
up in the near future.
Eligibility List
1.Firefighter Eligibility List will expire on 09/15/2019.
2.Fire Lieutenant Eligibility list scheduled to expire on 11/09/2017.
3.Police Officer Eligibility list Expires 02/21/2019
4.Police Sergeant Eligibility list scheduled to expire on 07/07/2018.
Adjournment
Commissioner Ehrke moved to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Kontek seconded the
motion, the meeting was adjourned at 2:40pm.
