ELK GROVE VILLAGE PLAN COMMISSION
Date: Wednesday, April 3, 1985

The meeting was called to order at 8:18 p.m. by Chairman Glass.

Plat of Subdivision-Centex Section 23B, Resubdivision No. 3, Lots 1-39
Joseph Luciani, Vice President-Centex Homes Corporation reviewed the
relationship of Centex R-3 Special Use zoning and the surrounding areas,
Westgate, Stockbridge and Hampton developments. He made reference to the
April 2nd report by Ray Peterson, Village Engineer and talked to each item.
He explained that Vermont Drive was not part of this subdivision. A
report had previously been submitted from the Northwest Cook County [dater
and Soil District for the complete area. Open spaces in general and lot
38 were discussed.
Mullen moved seconded by Cummins to approve subject to Engineer approval
of items in his April 2nd report. Vote was unanimous.
Petition for Text Admendment Docket 85-3 Text Admendment to permit a
Special Use in B-1, 8-2, B-3 and 0-T for warehousing and distribution in
addition to Retail Uses.
Public Hearing was called at 8:53 p.m.
Chairman John Glass read Hearing Notice into the record.
Charles Byrum, Attorney for the petitioner described his petition and
noted that a hearing for a Special Use will be held on May lst. Mr. Byrum
swore in his witnesses on the record,and summed up Just Pants operations they
are proposing the text admendment.
Plan Commission Minutes 2 - April 3, 1985
Just Pants Inc. would use the Special Use to consolidate their
operations from two separate locations into one. They are seeking a
Special Use for property on Bonaventure Drive near the present Car [dash
(Devon and Nerge and 290 Expressway) . They feel that it is a prestige
location. It is better than the Industrial Park. They need to get away
from . the Industrial Park. Rolf Campbell is reviewing the proposed Text
Admendment and will submit a recommendation to the petitioner.
Plan commissioners questioned Just Pants as to their existing locations
and uses not in the Village, number of employees, traffic passenger and truck.
Memo's from staff were briefly discussed with petitioner.
No action was taken. The Commission asked the Court Reporter to submit
the transcript so all members could review it.
The Hearing concluded at 10:51 p.m.
