The Little City' s Fund Raising event went very well .
Schmerler Ford gave the Village some funds to hire 7 kids
to work for the Village for 2 weeks. The program is going
well.
Elk Grove Distance Classic Planning Committee : Given
by Barbara Pohn
There are over 100 registrants . Plans are going well.
The Board is in favor of using money raised by the race
to buy prizes to be given away at the race.
The Funding Formula, which funds seniors programs in Illinois
is slanted more to rural areas ( $20/person rural, $13/person
urban) . The state is also using 1980 Census data which
is too outdated. The rural factor is over represented
and should be more equalized. The Community Service Board
sent a letter to the Governor opposing the rural factor.
Randy motioned that the Community Service Board send a
letter to President Zettek opposing the intra state funding
formula of the Illinois Department of Aging. Harriet
seconded . Motion carried.

Two questions were raised at the last Board Meeting :
1. Who pays for organ removal, transplant, etc. ? Paid

for the Immuno suppression drugs - Medicare covers this
cost if patient is inpatient or outpatient.

the Organ Donor Program.
