Ballard Bill Shannon Tom Hamilton Steve Schwellenbach, Chairman The Chairman advised the Commission that the Village Attorney had rendered a ruling concerning approval of sub-division plats. As long as there is a majority of the Plan Commission members present, i.e. five or more of the nine members, approval can be recommended as long as the majority of those present is in favor. Tom Hamilton moved for the approval of the preliminary and final plats of the seventh addition to Elk Grove Village, Section 12. It was seconded by Dick Potker; vote was unanimous. With reference to Docket 68-12 and the Public Hearing which was held on December 19, Steve Schwellenbach moved for the approval of the petition as agiended. The motion was seconded by Dick Potker. This will allow commercial zoning for a depth of 333 feet from the center line of Higgins Road. After discussion was held as to the advisability of commercial zoning being granted, during which time the Commission again questioned the attorney representing Mr. Sass as well as Mr. Sass himself, a vote was called for, and the Commission voted unanimously in favor of the re- zoning. At this point, Mrs . Cummins left and Mr. Bantner arrived. With reference to the Hearing held on approximately 208 acres lying south of Devon Avenue, the Plan Commission recommended that M-2 zoning be allowed excepting that M-1 zoning be required where the property was within 600 feet of residentially zoned property. The Commission futher recommended that no surface or sub-surface drainage be permitted through the existing residential property now adjacent to the area. It further recommended that the Village Board adopt the attached require- ments for a buffer zone with items 6 and 7 of said buffer zone definition being the prime and items 1-5 being the secondary option. Tom Hamilton moved for the recommendation of the above items, and it was seconded by Mr. Potker. Upon a vote, all members were in favor of the recommendation excepting W. R. Ballard. The motion carried. The Chairman was instructed to re-draft the buffer zone requirements be ore presenting them to the Village. Respectfull te.d; W. R. Ballard, Secretary o fe :. la. ilc: Zi7ilc?
