preliminary and final plats. It was seconded by Frank Dillon; vote was

Frank Dillon moved the approval of the pieliminary and final of Centex
Unit 79; Tom Hamilton seconded; vote was unanimous.
Frank Dillon moved for the approval of the third addition to Elk Grove
Village Sectbn 12; seconded by Tom Hamilton; vote was unanimous.
The chairman then discussed the March 14 letter to Mr. Willis, Village
Manager, on the proposed apartment development in the town -house area
near Tonne and Landmeier. The Plan Commission has no objections to the
location or setbacks of the buildings, but is opposed to the developer
using the pipeline easement in the computation of the density.
Discussion was then held on the R-4 and concern was again expressed
by some members of the Plan Commission on adequate open space and the lake
within the development. Since the drainage would be to Salt Creek, it
was felt during heavy rain it could cause additional flooding at a point
below where the overflow pipe emptied into Salt Creek. It was felt that
perhaps an emergency spillway should be required in addition to the over-
flow pipe.
Tom Hamilton will request the Soil Conservation Department to review the
proposed lake site and layout to see if they feel it is adequate.
Respectfully s i ed,
W. R. Ballard, Secretary
