ZIM AMEXATION . 26 ACRES NORTH OF DBVO, BOVTH OF BZSHRR ROAD
A meeting was held in president Pahl's office on August 16, 1967
to discuss an annexation request of Mr. Zia o, Harwood Heights, Ill.
In attendance at that meeting were County Camnissimer Floyd Fulle
(who introduced Dor. Zizzo to Mr. Pahl), Ralph Cambell, Tec-Search
Ian., the Village President and the Village Manager. . Mr. Zizzo was
interested in exploring the possibilities of having a 26 acre site
annexed to the Village and zoned for multiple family purposes.
The site is located i.mmmedlately north of Devon Ave. at the south
extension of Bisner Road. It is represented on the Elk Grove Village,
Illinois and Environ3 map as a rectangular tract, the northeast corner
of which touches the southwest corner of an area which is presently
within the Village limits.
Mr. Zizzo presented a site plan, a pencil sketch perspective
aselal view-of the apartments. As I recall, some 360 apartment
units would be on the site. Sixty percent (60%) would be two-bed-
units
wo bed-units with aroxinately .1,200 square feet of living space and
forty percent (4ij vvuld be one-bedroom apartments.
Mr. Pahl pointed out that the CoMrehensive Village Plans indi-
cates that this area should be devoted to single family residences.
He indicated the belief that the Village needed executive,,-type housing.
During the discussion it was suggested also that Mr. Ziz" con-
tact the property owner of the land lying directly east of his property
in order to vw4L. out a joint plauned.unit development far the total
acreage and then to request annexation to the Village. Mr. Zizzo's
attention was called to the need for dedicating Bisner Road extended
at such time as his 26 acre site is annexed to the Village.
Mr. Pahl made arrangements for Mr. Zizzo to present his ideas, .
suggestions and drawings to the members of the Village Board on
Tuesday at 7 p.m., August 22. Mr. Zizzo will make a presentation
at that date.
