PLAN COMMISSION MEETING August 4, 1966
The members present were:
Steve Schwellenbach, Chairman
Leah Cummins
Leslie Knudson
Gayle Bantner
Jack Denny
Dick McGrenera
Bill Ballard
Leah Cummins moved that the Plan Commission recommend approval_
of the variation from a width of 40 feet to 36 feet on Bennett
Street through to State Road in the Higgins Road commercial.
It was seconded by Les Knudson.
In the discussion it was pointed out that it would be perhaps
advantageous to stay consistent on the width of Bennett Street
throughout that portion of the development. A variation in the
width of streets in different parts is not good planning.
The vote was as follows :
Those in favor - Leah Cummins , Steve Schwellenbach, Les.
Knudson, Jack Denny
Those opposed - Gayle Bantner, Bill Ballard
Dick McGrenera abstained. The recommendation was passed 4-2.
The preliminary and final on Centex Industrial Park Units #44 and
#45 were referred back to the developer since the plats were in
conflict .
Dick McGrenera moved for the approval of the preliminary and final
Centex Industrial Park Unit #46. Jack Denny seconded: the vote was
unanimous .
There followed then a long discussion on whether home occupations
should be permitted, or whether they should be left out of the
proposed zoning ordinance.
