PLAN COMMISSION MEETING
JULY 27, 1964
MEETING HELD: Conference Room - Village
MEMBERS PRESENT: Les Knudson & Jack Pahl
After an analysis of the A-2 Zoning Request by Centex for the area
south of Landmeier Road, west of Tonne and north of Laurel and east
of Branniger it was agreed that this was the highest and best poss-
ible use of the land in that it provides transitional zoning from
the manufacturing district to the east of the subject property and
that it will offer a variety of housing in the community.
Further study and consideration was given to the Devon-O'Hare sub-
division of McLennan. It was decided that before any recommendations
were made to the Village Board that we would wait for the Tec-Search
Report.
Mr. Ed Corra of Corra Plumbing and his attorney Mr. Eldred B. Benz
met for a short time with the Commission relative to a proposed
Industrial Subdivision south of Oakton and immediately to the east
• of the Commonwealth Edison right-of-tray. It is the concensus of -
the Plan Commission that this entire area including the Centex pro-
perties running roughly between Landmeier and Oakton should be
zoned M-1. We advised Mr. Corra and Mr. Benz to read through the
provisions of our Subdivision Control Ordinance and after doing so
if they still felt they would like to be annexed to the Village to
appear in front of the Village Board at a regular meeting and then
formaly make such requests.
Members of the Plan Commission were advised of a meeting between
the Chairman and the Village Engineer for the purpose of setting up
operational proceedure and to outline spheres of responsibility.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:15 P.M.
