EUK GROVE FIREFIGHTER'SPENSION FUND
November 2, 2009
CALL TO WIRER
A meeting of the Firefighter's pension fund was held on November 2; 2009 in the Fire
Department Administration Office 901 Brantwood Avenue. President Brian McVeigh called the
meetinL, to order at 7:10 p.m.
ROLL CALL
On roll call the following members were present: Brian McVeigh, Mark Percudani, Bernard
Goss, David Miller and Hilda In2ebri2tsen, Also in attendance were Christine Tromp(Finance

Director) and \Mary Tomanek financial consultant to the pension board.

A motion was made by David Miller to accept the minutes of the August 17, 2009 meeting.
Hilda ingebrigtsen seconded the motion. "Che motion passed unanimously.
REPORT OF MESI"ME\TS
i\Mary Tomanek submitted a quarterly review/report of the ilk Grove Village hire Pension Fund
investments with Solomon Smith Barney. She reviewed and explained its contents to the
members.
tMary recommended and David !Miller made the motion to move 51;000,000.00 out of the Pacific
income Advisors to McDonnell Investment Municipal account the move would leave the
accounts with the following amounts in them. Pacific income Advisors $7.410.424.00 and
wfC.Donnell.Investment \Municipal 53;937,692.00. Hilda inoebrigtsen seconded the motion. The
motion passed unanimously. i
TREASURERS REPORT

Christine Tromp submitted a balance sheet, open investment listing and disbursement register.
Christine reviewed and explained the contents to the members. y
A motion was made by Bernard Goss to accept the Treasurers report. David Miller seconded the
motion. The motion passed unanimously.

OLD BUSINESS
I
i Training for board members was discussed. NIary stated that her firm will be offering trainins in
blocks of two hours every other month. more information is to folloxv as it becomes available.
i
NEW BUSINESS
I The Pension board was advised by the Board of Police and l=ire commissioners that Firefighters
Luke Titre; Joseph Hamilton and N ichael Foster have successfully completed their probation
periods and are hereby appointed to the permanent position of Firefighter in the Elk Grove
Villaee Fire Department effective September 29; 2009.

Bernard Goss made a motion to adjourn the meeting. David Miller seconded the motion. The
motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
The next meeting will be ivlonday February 1; 2010 at 7:00 PM_ at the Fire Administration
Building.
