Denna, John Fordon, Welcomed Michael Foster

Secretary/Treasurer Report $524,132.46 (This included November tax receipt of$90,365.81)

Educalion Commiltee: FF McManus reimbursed for Fire classes at Moraine Valley College
OLD BUSINESS
a. Status of remaining items being purchased: All 2010- 2011 remaining purchases:
1. Hurst Tools Quick Connectors—Approved by Village Manager, in addition to a cheaper quote
given to Lt Fordon
2. 2010 -2012 Budget items approved— Still awaiting Village Managers/Board approval:
1) Boot/Glove Dryers $1000 to purchase 2 for each station
2) Intubation Head $2800 for station 9 & 10
3) Complete Duct cleaning$1000 for station 7 Boiler System type ducts
4) Wireless/Wi-Fi access in the Fire Stations $3000
5) 2nd Large Flashlights for Apparatus $1500
6) Recognition Board $1000 A Perpetual Plaque, to commemorate more than 50 years of
the Elk Grove Village Fire Department. Will have name plate of every member that has been a
volunteer or Firefighter with the Elk Grove Village Fire Department.
NEW BUSINESS
a. Approved the election results
b. Request from Fire Dept for 2011 —2012 budget assistance, 6 items:
1) Replace Station 9 Day Room Chairs (5x $900) $4500 Approved
2) Replace Zodiac Boat $15,000 Not Approved
3) Replace Laryngoscope sets (6x $1100) $6600 Not Approved
4) Replace Stretcher batteries, Demo first(3x $1000) $3000 *Approved per results of 1 Demo
5) Replace ten SCBA's in addition to the fifty sets being purchased by a grant (10x $3679) $36,790
* Sent to a vote by the full fire department membership
6) Replace Two 4-Gas Meters (2x $1750) $3500 Approved
c. Michael Foster approved as new Treasure to replace Brian McVeigh
d. February meeting might be cancelled
e. Start collecting 2011 -2012 Suggestions
f. R. Denna approved as the third Education committee member(in addition to Kelly and Sharp)
