Approval of Minutes
Minutes for 4-17-2018 – The minutes were approved.
Invoices for Approval
Invoice from Alan Friedman for 3 police entry psych exams dated April 24, 2018 in the amount
of $1785
The invoice was approved.
Correspondence
Forwarded Correspondence from Chief Walsh regarding the resignation of a patrol officer on
5/9/2018
Old Business
1. Update on the Police Department Vacancies – The Police Department had 3 candidates pass
their Psychological and Medical Evaluations. The candidates will be scheduled for the
Power Test on June 12th.
2. Background Reviews – The commissioners reviewed backgrounds for Police Candidates.
3. Discussion on the exhaustion of the Police List – The Commissioners agreed to hold another
Multiple Interview Session to consider the remaining eligible candidates. The session was
scheduled for June 7th.
New Business
1. Employment Contract for Patrol – The commissioners pledge their support for a police
contract to be issued to new officers. This contract will be managed by the Police
Department.
2. Stanard and Associates – Police Entry Presentation – Stanard and Associates presented their
Apply to Serve web portal. The portal will serve as an application for new Police Officers.
The commission agreed to adopt the web based system and will use it for Police Entry
beginning this year.
Eligibility List
1. Firefighter Eligibility List will expire on 09/15/2019.
2. Fire Lieutenant Eligibility list scheduled to expire on 02/27/2020.
3. Police Officer Eligibility list Expires 02/21/2019
4. Police Sergeant Eligibility list scheduled to expire on 07/07/2018.
Adjournment
Commissioner Scholten motioned to end the Meeting. Commissioner Kontek seconded the
motion. The Meeting was adjourned at 2:40pm.
