Tromp, Director of Finance Reporter: None Business Development Guidebook The Committee was advised by the Director of Business Development and Marketing, of Elk Grove's Business Development Guidebook. The Guidebook provides information to perspective businesses on the processes and procedures involved with opening a business in Elk Grove. The Guide includes information on permit filing, Plan Commission procedures and various types of financial assistance available. The Business Development Guide will be available on the interriet and print form. The Committee recommended changing the Cook County sales tax rate to reflect the changes that may occur in 2012. The Committee also recommended adding the Board of Trustees contact information. It was the consensus of the Committee to approve the Business Development Guide with the aforementioned changes. Property Tax Levy The Committee was advised that the general fund property tax levy for 2012-2013 would be $5,424 lower than last year. The levy mandated by the State for pensions will increase by $291,221. A final determination of the property tax levy will be made in November followed by the ordinance being passed in December. The total Elk Grove Village portion of the levy increase equates to a 1.84%.
