Village Newsletter
The Committee was advised of a proposal to redesign the Villager and Business Matters
newsletters. The current newsletters were created in-house over ten years ago. Examples of
neighboring community's newsletters showed that the current Village newsletter design was
outdated.
A proposal was distributed by staff. The proposed design originated from a graphic designer who
designed the Business Resource Guide. The proposal included two different designs for both the
Villager and Business Matters. The Villager newsletters differentiated from the Business Matters
by color scheme.
A discussion ensued on the cost effectiveness of two separate newsletters that often carried
duplicate information. Combing the two newsletters would allow residents to learn what was
occurring in the Business Park and businesses to learn what was occurring in the community.
The consensus of the Committee was to approve a new graphics design for the Business Matters
and Villager newsletters. The color scheme for the Villager and Business Matters sections would
remain as proposed. It was also the consensus of the Committee to consolidate the Villager and
Business Matters into one newsletter whenever possible.
The meeting adjourned at 4:00 p.m.
