CONSENT AGENDA A) Consideration to award a contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, J.F. Edwards Construction Company, Geneseo, IL, to perform Phase II of the Residential Streetlight Replacement Project at a total contract amount not to exceed $619, 875. 00. (A total of five contractors submitted bids. Upon review of the bids submitted, J. F. Edwards was determined to be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. (The contract amount is 209d under the Engineer's estimate of $771, 475 for this project. (Adequate funds are budgeted and available for this purpose in the Residential Enhancement Fund. (A report from the Director of Engineering & Community Development, recommending approval, is attached. ) B) Consideration of the following: • to concur with the Village Manager's prior authorization to award a contract to Anthony Roofing, Aurora, IL to perform emergency roof repair work at the Oakton Street Fire Station at a total contract amount not to exceed $23, 525. • to designate funding for the Oakton Fire Station roof repair in the amount of $23, 525 from the Capital Projects Fund. (Areas of the station's roof are leaking, and Anthony Roofing Ltd. submitted the most responsive bid to correct the identified problems. The Village's Attorney is taking whatever methods are necessary to have these funds repaid to the Village by the original roofing contractor. (Adequate funds are available in the Capital Projects Fund for this purpose. ) Agenda for VB Meng 07-08-02 2 3.
