Deputy Police Chief Chuck Walsh underwent an evaluation by psychiatrist, Dr. Friedman.
Dr. Friedman indicated he was among the best Police Chief candidates that he has ever reviewed.
Senior Village staff conducted a panel interview with Deputy Chief Walsh, which went very well.
The consensus of the panel was to recommend that he be the next Police Chief of the Village. The
Mayor has not yet interviewed Chuck Walsh. The Board indicated they did not feel a need to
participate in an interview with Deputy Chief Walsh.
The consensus of the Board was to support Deputy Chief Walsh as a candidate for Police Chief,
should the Mayor choose to appoint him following his interview.
If the Mayor chooses to make the appointment, Deputy Chief Walsh would be sworn -in on the
afternoon of December 1, with a ceremonial swearing -in at the Board Meeting in December.
Deputy Chief Walsh has committed to ten years of service, if appointed Police Chief.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:42 p.m.
