The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by President Diemer. Present were
Greenberg and _Lancaster. Absent were Ambrose and Celia.
The minutes of the last regular meeting, April 9, 1996 were read. Motion made by
Greenberg, seconded by Lancaster toaccept the minutes. Motion carried.
Old Business
President Diemer announced he sent a 'letter to Village President Gallitano
advising him of the outcome of the disability hearing of Robert Arnold.
The Board received a letter .from 'Sgt. Arnold requesting the Board continue
paying his disability benefits until he resolves his position with the Village.
Board attorney Richard Reimer "responded toArnoldin a letter dated May 7 1996
indicating to Arnold that the Board has no authority to alter or modify its decision.'
The Board received the .Decision and Order regarding the Arnold Hearing from Board

The Board received the following bills:.
$593.75 for attorney Richard Reimer for legal services re: Robert Arnold
$718.75 for attorney Richard Reimer for legal services re: Robert Arnold
Motion made by Lancaster seconded by Diemer to authorize, payment for these
bills. Motion carried.
The election for Trustees of the Elk Grove Village Police Pension Board was held
on April 15 1996.
For the active participants, only two members, Greenberg and Celia, were nominated
for the two positions, .and therefore were appointed by acclamation.
For the beneficiaries, the ballots were counted by Greenberg and Diemer at 6:00 p.m.
16 ballots were cast:

4-H. Jenkins
1-Losch
Lancaster was elected to the Board'.

Motion ca�ri"ed.
The Board received a letter of resignation from Ofc Alonzo Roberts, effective
April 27, 1996. The Board received an estimate of his refund of contributions
from the Finance Dept, aproximately $1903.45 but the exact figure was not available.
Motion made by Diemer, seconded by Lancaster, ,to authorize refund payment to Roberts
based on the preliminary figure provided, and upon receiving final calculation
from the Finance Dept. Motion carried.
President Diemer announced the nextmeetingwill be July 9, 1996 at 6:30 p.m. at
901 Wellington. No further business was conducted. Motion to adjourn made by
Greenberg, seconded by Diemer. Motion carried.
