C) Consideration of the following:
To reject the bid submitted by Bridges Coach
Company, Newport , Arkansas , for a 1991 Ambulance
for two reasons: (i) the manufacturer' s service
is located in Arkansas; and (ii) units in service
in the metropolitan area are showing signs of
rapid deterioration after only 14 months of use.
To award a purchase contract to the lowest
responsive and responsible bidder, Wheeled Coach
Midwest, Joilet , IL to furnish and deliver one

recommended vendor, Wheeled Coach, and the Fire Chief
has found that ambulance to be of high quality and
good workmanship.

this purchase . In order to make the purchase , $2 ,959
will be transferred within the Fire Department Budget
