Only four names were submitted as nominations. More information is needed on the
nominees. Laura Kuhn and Mary Paliganoff will call to obtain more information before
deciding on the award recipient. A meeting will be held on Monday, March 20, at 9:15
a.m. to make the final selection.
40th Anniversary - given by Anne Feichter and Mary Paliganoff
A contest is being held to select a theme. Elk Grove Village employees and Board
members were asked to submit ideas for a theme. Copies of entries have been sent out. A
decision is forthcoming in April. Another contest is being planned to design a logo.
Junior high school age to adults will be offered the opportunity to submit a design.
The committee also is planning a dance in February of 1996 as a fund-raising event.
New Business:
A discussion was held about how to best handle the election for the Community Service
Board officers. A letter will be sent out to each Board member asking for nominations for
the 3 offices. Each person nominated will then be called by Sandy Costanza to determine
whether or not they will accept the nomination for the particular office. The election will
be held at the April Board meeting.
Old Business:
A poll taken at the February Board meeting and then of the members who were not
present at that meeting revealed that the majority of those voting preferred a 7:00 p.m.
meeting time, rather that 8:00 p.m. The new meeting time will begin with the May Board
meeting.
Announcements: -None
The meeting was adjourned at 9:10 p.m.
Respectfully subm'itteeO,
Anne Feichter, Secretary
