MEETING MINUTES
Thursday, August 17, 1995

Call to Order:
The meeting was called to order by Anne Feichter at 7 : 00 p.m.
A motion to approve the minutes was made by Alva . Seconded by
Ken. Motion carried.
Coordinator' s Report: Given by Sandra Costanza
A copy of the Coordinators Report was given to the Community
Service Board.
Intern' s Report : Given by Sharon Raschke
A resident with two children were placed in Motel 6 on 8/17/95
due to an electrical problem in the apartment. The extreme heat
warranted providing this service .
40th Anniversary Celebration:
The report was given by the guests . Plans are proceeding with
the Dinner/Dance/Auction slated for February 9, 1996 at 7 :00 p.m.
The ticket price has not been set. Advertising for the dinner
will be done via the Village Newsletter with the RSVP . There will
be tables of 10 and a minimum of 400 guests . The menu will
include chicken, prime rib and fish. A DJ will be on hand for
entertainment. Dinner is at 8 : 00 p.m. with a live auction to
follow. If someone has a contact for auction items they should
contact the banquet committee. The committee is also looking
into novelty license plates . They are only good for 60 days and
the state only issues out 200 . Numbers 1-10 will be auctioned
off. The next meeting of the 40th Anniversary Committee will be
September 14 , at 7 : 00 p.m.

Intergenerational :
No report .
Substance Abuse:
No report.
Intergovernmental Youth Council :
No report.
Parade:
It was a resounding success . 83 units were on hand which
included a wide variety of local talents and talents from
surrounding areas .
Make A Difference Day:
Alva showed the committee the informational flyer that will go
out to different groups in the Village. Sandy has heard from
Mary Hale of PADS who has stated they want to do another Walk for
the Homeless . Advertising for the day will be done via Channel
6 , the water bill , the village electronic sign and through the
newspapers .
Senior Sub-Committee:
A copy of the proposed "Senior Wellness Day" was viewed by the
committee. After much discussion the group agreed that more
discussion from the sub-committee must take place. There were
too many unanswered questions and not enough support from the
sub-committee to proceed. A motion was made by Mary Paliganoff,
seconded by Barbara Rettberg to table a decision until more
communication can be held with all members of the sub-committee
including Nancy Czarnik. Motion carried.
New Business :
Dick reported that the Village is moving ahead with plans for a
Peer Jury.
Sandy handed out Community Food Drive posters for anyone to take
and post.
Old Business :
The next meeting will be Thursday, September 21 , 1995 at 7 : 00
p.m.
Adjournment:
A motion to adjourn was made by Dick, seconded by Bonnie . Motion
carried. The meeting adjourned at 7 : 58 p.m.
