MEETING MINUTES

Call to Order:
The meeting was called to order at 7 : 01 p.m. by Anne Feichter,
President.
Two corrections to the minutes which are typing errors only:
Mary Hall should be Mary Hale and under nominating committee to
® serve to serve - delete one. Motion to approve the minutes was
made by Ken Krzywicki and seconded by Peg Vallillo. Motion
carried.
Intern' s Report :
Report included in Board packets .
PIC Scholarship: Given by Peg Vallillo
Two candidates were received and considered. Both were chosen.
Ami Novoryta and Kim Cabaj will each receive $1, 000 .
Substance Abuse Prevention: Given by Alva Kreutzer
No report .
40th Anniversary: Given by Ken Krzywicki and Mary Paliganoff
As of April 18 , 195 of the 200 Anniversary license plates have
been accounted for with 5 more waiting to be sold. The Rotary
Club is working with the committee on the Sock Hop. Also, plans
are being made for the post parade celebration.
Nominating Committee: Given by Mary Cortes
Mary Cortes passed out ballots . Alva assisted in the counting of
ballots . The officers for next year will be:
President: Anne Feichter

Also, a discussion was held concerning the length of office for a
Community Service officer being made two years instead of a one
year term. No action was taken.
Paint-A-Thon: Given by Mary Cortes
Mary made us aware of the Paint-A-Thon program. No action was
taken by the Board.
Volunteer Recognition Award: Given by Alva Kreutzer and Mary
Paliganoff
The Committee has chosen three recipients for this years
volunteer recognition award. Recipients are Marguerite Cox, Bea
DePalma and Nina Savage. A brief synopsis of each was given.
Dick motion for approval of the three, Peg seconded. Motion
carried.
Personnel Committee: Given by Mary Cortes
Mary asked if Community Service would move to a closed session to
discuss the arrival of the new Community Service coordinator. A
motion by Mary and seconded by Dick Penley to move to closed
session to discuss "matters relating to personnel" . A roll call
vote was taken 10-0 . A motion by Dick, seconded by Laura to move
back to regular session. Motion carried.
Senior Medal of Honor: Given by Anne Feichter
Mary Hale will be this years recipient of the award given by
Sheriff Michael Sheahan. Award Ceremony will take place on April
23, 1996 .
Announcements :
Wayne announced that on July 1st, seniors seeking admission to
senior facilities must be pre-screened.
Senior Celebration Day will be May 1st.

Mary Paliganoff motioned to adjourn and seconded by Jim Foss .
Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 8 : 12 p.m.
