MEETING MINUTES

Call to Order:
Mary Paliganoff, Vice-Chairperson, called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m.
® Action Items:
There were no corrections to the minutes of the April meeting. The Board unanimously approved
the corrected minutes following a motion by Peg Vallillo, seconded by Dick Scholten. Mary
Paliganoff asked that the names of the winners of the Community Spirit Award be included in the
minutes.
Agency Presentation:
No presentation.
Chairperson's Report:
No report.
Coordinator's Report:
Report in Board packets. Beth added that the Senior Resource Directory is at the printer.
Committee Reports:
Elk Grove Community Spirit Award Committee: Given by Mary Hale
The three new award recipients were Pamela Benn, Theresa Rendina, and Kathy and Wendell
Podulka.
Summer Activities Committee:
The committee decided to meet over the year to work on activities for next summer.
Volunteer Committee:
No report. Board members should present Anne Feichter with any new ideas.

Web Page Committee: Given by Sal Pace
An example of the Board's Web Page was distributed to the Board. This will be presented to the
Village's web page designer. The committee will meet again as needed.
Workforce Development Scholarship Committee: Given by Nancy Czarnik
The committee reviewed 2 applicants and thought that neither may meet the criteria. Nancy will
address the committee's concerns with President Johnson.
New Business:
None.
Old Business:
By-law Changes :
Mary Cortes motioned that there be a change in the Board By-laws. She motioned that Article V
be amended to read..."Meetings shall be held ten times during the calendar year." Anne
Feichter seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. The Board decided not to meet during
the month of June.
Trustee Liaison Report:
No report.
Community Service Board Member Reports:
It was announced that Ed Ruszkowski has resign from the Board as he has been appointed to
the Revitalization Board. Board members stated that Ed will be missed and wished him good
luck in his new appointment.
Announcements:
Beth Madden asked for recommendations of individuals to fill Ed Ruszkowski's board position.
Members were reminded of the Rotary Fest and Memorial Day activities occurring in the village.
The next meeting of the Community Service Board will be Thursday, July 15, 1999 at 7:00 p.m.
Adjournment:
The meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m. After a motion by Paul Klevinsky, seconded by Mary
Paliganoff.
