MEETING MINUTES

Call to Order:
Alva Kreutzer, acting chairperson called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
Action Items:
The minutes were approved with one correction on the first page near the bottom—"Bev
and Mary Hale would attend an Executive Service Corps, etc, " should read—Bev and
Mary Hale attended, etc.
Coordinator's Report: Given by Beverly Jaszczurowski
Beverly's full report is in the packet. Bev announced that Senior Day will be held at
Randhurst on May 16'h. The Village Paint-a-thon will be held on September 8'h. In case
of rain, it will be held on September 15'h. Last year 70 volunteers painted three houses.
210 packets have been sent out this year. Bev announced that she has been named co-
chairman of a sub committee of the 2020 Northwest Human Care Council. She
announced two money raising events—for CEDA a golf outing on June 4d'and a golf
outing for the United Way on July 12'h. On April 23`d, Bev will be a guest on"Koffee
Klatch" on Channel 6. She will talk about the Village Garage Sale.
Committee Reports:
Farmer's Market: Given by Tony Kees
The market will start on June 201h and will be held in front of the Pavilion. Tony showed
a flyer with information about the market. The committee meets every Monday.
Volunteer Committee:
Scheduled to be highlighted on Channel 6 are the Relay for Life— Cancer program in
April and HIVCO in May.
Spirit Committee: Given by Mary Hale
The committee meets one half hour before the taping of the Spirit Show on Channel 6.
Garage Sale Committee: Given by Teresa Anesinis
The Village garage sale will be held on May 19'h. Flyers for the sale have been
distributed at the Library and the Pavilion. A wider distribution will be done later. So
far, 3 persons have requested forms and about 35-40 requests have been made by phone.
Signs will be donated by Prudential/American Heritage Co. Teresa is trying to contact
someone who runs the large garage sale in Schaumburg to give us any helpful
suggestions she may have.
Web Committee: Given by Jim Morrill
Bev and Jim worked on the topics which were then sent to Ed May,
New Business:
None
Trustee Report: Given by Nancy Czamik
Nancy reported that the Village Hoe Down will be held on September 801, the same day
as the Paint-a-thon, so that it would not conflict with the date of Queen of the Rosary
Church Bistro on the Boulevard which will be held on September 14'h.
Board Members Reports:
Peg Vallillo announced that the Kenneth Young Center will hold their "Walk for the
Health of it" in Busse Woods on Saturday, May 19'h.
Alva Kreuter reported on the "Character Counts"program of District 59.
Announcements:
The next Community Service Board meeting will be at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 17,
2001 at 7:00 p.m. in Room "C" at the Village Hall.

The meeting adjourned at 8:06 p.m. after a motion to do so was made by Dick Scholten
and seconded by Jim Morrill.
