Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting
of the Village President and Board of Trustees on February 28, 2012, this Executive Session was
called to consider a Litigation matter.

Litigation
The Village Attorney met with the owners of 508 Briarwood Lane, The property owners are
operating a dog breeding and boarding home occupation within the home. The Village Attorney is
going to speak to the neighbors to get their perspective. The neighbors are upset because the dogs
are let out at 4:30 a.m. The Village Attorney is attempting to work with the property owners and
the neighbors to resolve this issue. Currently, there is no regulation on the number of dogs
allowed on a property. However, the Village does not allow the operation of kennels on a
residential property. The consensus of the Village Board is to direct the Village Attorney to
pursue legal action against the property owners.
