Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting
of the Village President and Board of Trustees on May 21, 2012, this Executive Session was called
to consider a Personnel matter.

Personnel
The Village Board was notified that 42 applications were received for the Fire Chief position with
many qualified individuals applying. Most of the applicants were out of state residents which are
attributed to the residency requirement placed in the job posting. The applicants were gathered
through job postings in regional and national associations along with direct mailings to
communities in southeastern Wisconsin and Illinois. Jim Denna and Scott Miller both applied for
the position as internal candidates.
