AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6-8-3-B-1 RAFFLE LICENSE OF THE
VILLAGE CODE BY DELETING PROVISIONS RELATING TO DOLLAR
LIMITATION ON PRIZE AWARDS
BE IT ORDAINED, by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Section 6-8-3-B-1, License Required; Application of the Elk Grove
Village Code be amended to read as follows:
1. No organization within the Village shall operate a raffle without first having secured a
license pursuant to the provisions of this subsection B. The maximum price which may
be charged for each raffle chance issued or sold shall be one hundred dollars ($100.00).
The maximum number of days during which the chances may be issued or sold shall be
three hundred sixty-five (365) days. As a result of the charitable nature of eligible
organizations, the fee for each license shall be deemed waived for each and every
applicant.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval according to law.
