AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT AND A SPECIAL
LOCATION PARKING PLAN TO NORTH STAR FOODS, INC. TO PERMIT A
FOOD PROCESSING FACILITY IN AN I-2 INDUSTRIAL ZONING DISTRICT
AT 2575 AMERICAN LANE AND A SPECIAL LOCATION PARKING PLAN TO
ALLOW REQUIRED PARKING SPACES TO BE SHARED AMONG 2575
AMERICAN LANE, 2601 AMERICAN LANE AND 2600 DELTA LANE, ELK
GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Village, acting as
a Zoning Commission, at a Public Hearing duly called and held according to law
considered the question of granting a Special Use Permit and a Special Location Parking
Plan to North Star Foods, Inc. to permit the operation of a food processing facility in an
I-2 Industrial Zoning District at 2575 American Lane and to allow required parking
spaces to be shared among 2575 American Lane, 2601 American Lane and 2600 Delta
Lane, Elk Grove Village; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, after having considered the recommendation and finding of said Plan
Commission, find and believe that it is in the best interest of the Village to issue said
Special Use Permit and Special Location Parking Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That the transcript of the proceedings before the Plan Commission
and the findings and recommendations of said Plan Commission are incorporated into
this Ordinance.
Section 2: That there be granted a Special Use Permit to North Star Foods, Inc.
to permit the operation of a food processing facility in an I-2 Industrial Zoning District to
allow food processing at 2575 American Lane; and a Special Location Parking Plan to
allow required parking spaces to be shared among 2575 American Lane, 2601 American
Lane and 2600 Delta Lane, Elk Grove Village, the legal description of 2575 American
Lane being legally described as follows:
LOT 21 IN L.C.A. SUBDIVISION IN DEVON-O'HARE INDUSTRIAL PARK
UNIT TWO, BEING A SUBDIVISION OF THE SOUTH 183 FEET OF THE
NORTH 1,438.8 FEET OF THE WEST 230 FEET OF THE EAST 1,050 FEET
OF THE NORTHEAST 1/4 OF SECTION 2, TOWNSHIP 40 NORTH, RANGE
11 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, ACCORDING TO THE
PLAT THEREOF RECORDED JUNE 30, 1967 AS DOCUMENT R67-22826,
IN DUPAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS. PIN 03-02-202-009-0000
Section 3: That the Special Use Permit is subject to the designated conditions set
forth by the Plan Commission in their findings and recommendation dated August 6,
2018, with respect to the Special Location Parking Plan.
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval according to law.
