AN ORDINANCE GRANTING AN ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIAL USE TO THE
VILLAGE TO PERMIT THE INSTALLATION OF A NINETY -FOOT (90') HIGH
COMMUNICATIONS MONOPOLE AT THE DEVON AVENUE PUBLIC WORKS
FACILITY, 450 E. DEVON AVENUE, ELK GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village is a Home Rule Municipality as established
and set forth in the Constitution of the State of Illinois and as such, is empowered to enact
legislation with respect to its government and affairs; and
WHEREAS, 65 ILCS 5/11-13-1 authorizes the Village to enact legislation with respect
to the height, size and location of buildings as well as the regulation of the use of open space
surrounding such buildings; and
WHEREAS, the Village is in the process of constructing a Public Works facility, to be
located at 450 E. Devon Avenue, which facility will require the installation of a Ninety -Foot (90')
Communications Monopole for necessary communication purposes; and
WHEREAS, the height of the Monopole will exceed the permitted height for such
structure as set forth in the Village's Zoning ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That there be granted an Administrative Special Use Permit to the Village to
permit the installation of a Ninety -Foot (90') Communications Monopole at the new Public Works
Facility located at 450 E. Devon Avenue.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval according to law.
