De Frenza S. Carlson M.Colgan R. Bookler Absent: J. Meister, Sr. L. Dohrer P. Rettberg Staff: J. Polony, Plan Review Supervisor, Community Development Zoning Variation— Docket#15-1 212 Brighton Road Chairman Childress called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm and read a statement describing the hearing notification procedure as well as the legal notice. The petitioners, Damien and Catherine Braude, were sworn in and asked to present their case. Ms. Braude stated the reason for her variation request is because her current fence has become deteriorated and unsafe. A new fence would provide additional privacy and protection for their three (3) young children and dog. She mentioned that the fence would be installed in the same location as the existing fence and the new fence would match the style of her neighbor's fence. Ms. Braude stated that she had spoken with her neighbor, 261 Kingsbridge Road, and they had no objections to the location of the proposed fence. Mr. Childress opened the meeting to questions from the board. Multiple board members stated they had no concerns with the proposed fence location. A motion to grant a variation for the construction of a six (6') foot high, vinyl fence which would extend approximately thirteen (13') feet beyond a line extended from the nearest front corner of the principal building located on an adjacent single-family residential lot was made by Mr. Carlson and seconded by Mr. Colgan. Upon voting (AYES—Childress, De Frenza, Zinnel, and Bookler.) The motion to grant the variance passed unanimously. Mr. Childress advised the petitioners, Mr. and Ms. Braude, to contact the Village Clerk and attend the subsequent Village Board Meeting.
