Childress M.Colgan R. Bookler L. Dohrer C. Kelley M. Larson J. Meister, Sr. Absent: R. DeFrenza W. Jameel Staff: R. Cavalieri, Plan Reviewer/Inspection Supervisor, Community Development Zoning Variation — Docket #18-2 1528 Idaho Place Chairman Childress called the meeting to order at 7:02 pm and read a statement describing the hearing notification procedure as well as the legal notice. The petitioner, John & Mary Kae Moss, were sworn in and asked to present their case. Mr. Moss stated that he would like to replace his existing wood fence with a new wood fence in the same location and height. The fence existed upon his purchase of the home and he would like to maintain aesthetics and property value with the installation of a new fence. His intent is to reconstruct the fence to be five feet (5') tall, not six feet (6') as indicated within the public notice description. Mr. Childress opened the meeting to questions from the board. No questions were raised by the zoning board members. Mr. Childress opened the meeting to questions from the audience. Kevin & Amy Wojak, 713 Texas Street, indicated they had no objections to the fence in its current location, and actually found the current location favorable to their property. A motion to DO GRANT a variation for the installation and construction of a six foot (6') high wood fence which will extend approximately fifteen feet (15') beyond the nearest front corner of the principal structure on the adjacent single-family residential lot and replace an existing fence in the same location was made by Mr. Meister and seconded by Ms. Kelley. Upon voting (AYES — Bookler, Kelley, Childress, Dohrer, Colgan, Meister, Larson.) The motion to DO GRANT variance passed unanimously. Mr. Childress advised the petitioner, Mr. Moss, to contact the Village Clerk and attend the subsequent Village Board Meeting.
