Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting
of the Village President and Board of Trustees on February 28, 2017, this Executive Session was
called to consider a Land Acquisition matter.

1%.1 Land Acquisition
In order to obtain the property for the consolidated Fire Station, the Village would like to request
State Legislature approval for quick -take authority for this purpose. Quick -take authority allows
the Village to take the land and compensate the owner for the value in an abbreviated process. This
is a common practice for towns all over the state when specific land is needed for public safety.
The consensus of the Board was to engage our lobbyists to talk to State Representative Moylan
and State Senator Murphy to assist us with this matter.
