Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting
of the Village President and Board of Trustees on February 28, 2017, this Executive Session was
called to consider a Personnel matter.

I. Personnel
The IMRF will be requiring elected officials to adopt a resolution every 2 years verifying that they
meet the 1,000 hours requirement. The first resolution needs to be passed by September 1, 2017.
The IMRF will still not require record -keeping, and they will no longer undertake investigations
into these issues, instead relying on these biennial resolutions. The Village Attorney advised that
an interested party could still go to a law enforcement agency in order to look into the matter. The
Trustees need to make a determination as a group whether the position requires 1,000 hours. A
resolution needs to be passed for the Mayor's IMRF qualification as well.
