PAYNE Acting Village Attorney Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on March 21, 2017, this Executive Session was called to consider a Personnel matter. Number of pages attached: 1 Date(s) of review for release: October 2017 Date of approval for release: Date approved by Village Board: April 25, 2017 March 21, 2017 7:54 p.m. Personnel The Board discussed the recommended 2017-2018 Wage and Salary Plan. Changes from the existing Wage and Salary Plan are as follows: • Step -Pay Plan general increase of 2.25%, with a .25% equity increase for a total increase of 2.5% • Specific Rate Pay Plan general increase of 2.25%, with a .25% equity increase for a total increase of 2.5% • $100 increase to Step -Pay Longevity for each level • Merit Pay Range increase of 2.25%, with a .25% equity increase for a total increase of 2.5% • Additional pool of 0 to 2% increase for Open Merit • Management Enhancement Program increase of $100 for each level • Management Incentive Program increase of $500 • Add a 7`h step for non -union employees • Reclassify Finance front counter personnel to Customer Service Representatives • Authorize the Deputy Public Works Director to take home his vehicle for emergency response capabilities. • Change the title of the Cable Television Coordinator to Multimedia Administrator • Reactivate Fire Department Customer Service Representative • Reactivate two (2) Public Works Maintenance Workers —one each in Corporate and Water/Sewer • Reactivate Finance Management Analyst • Pay Range amendments for the following positions: Police Sergeant, Police Commander, Battalion Chief, Deputy Director of Community Development, Deputy Fire Chief, Deputy Police Chief, Human Resources Director, IT Director, Community Development Director, Fire Chief, Finance Director, Public Works Director, Police Chief The consensus of the Board was to concur with the recommended 2017-18 Wage and Salary Plan. Additionally, Village staff recommended a re -organization of the Community Development Department, which was approved as recommended. The consensus of the Board was to approve the re -organization plan. The meeting was adjourned at 8:24 p.m.
