a. Consideration of a request from the Elk Grove Village Public Library, 1001 Wellington
Avenue,to waive building permit fees in the amount of$180 for its security camera
project.
(It has been past practice of the Village Board to grant fee waivers for governmental and
non-profit organizations.
(The Director of Community Development recommends approval.)
b. Consideration of a request to award a construction contract to the lowest responsive and
responsible bidder Orange Crush. LLC of Hillside, IL for the James P. Petri Public Works
Facility parking lot resurfacing project in the amount of$90,555 from the Capital Projects
Fund.
(On Tuesday, September 8,2015,the Village opened sealed bids for the Public Works
Administration Building Parking Lot Resurfacing project.
(The project will consist of the asphalt surface removal, full-depth HMA patching, NMA
surface course paving, pavement marking, gate detector loop replacement, and all
incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project.
(The lowest responsive and responsible bid was received from Orange Crush, LLC. of
Hillside, IT, in the amount of$62.800.
(After reviewing the favorable bid unit prices, it is recommended that the contract scope
and cost be increased to cover a portion of the rear yard pavement area adjacent to the
sides of the building at the James P. Petri Public Works Facility.

(The cost increase of$27,755 would bring the total project cost to $90,555 which is under
the original budgeted amount.
(The Director of Public Works recommends approval.)
c. Consideration to award a construction contract to the lowest responsive and responsible
bidder, Landmark Contractors of Huntley, IL for the Biesterfield and Wellington
Streetscape Project in the amount of$684,931.60 from the Capitals Projects Fund.
(On Thursday, September 10, 2015, the Village opened sealed bids for the Biesterfield and
Wellington Streetscape Project. Six (6) contractors obtained bid documents and four (4)
contractors submitted bids.
(The lowest responsive and responsible bid was received from Landmark Contractors of
Huntley, IL in the amount of$684,931.60.
(Funds are available in the Capital Projects Fund.
(The Director of Community Development recommends approval.)
d. Consideration of a request to award a construction contract to the lowest responsive and
responsible bidder Martam Construction, Inc., of Elgin, IL for the Median Enhancement-
Busse Road project in the amount of$1.952,991 from the BLP Fund.
(On Tuesday, September 8, 2015, the Village opened sealed bids for the Median
Enhancement- Busse Road project.
(The project will consist of site clearing, demolition, bardscape, precast retaining wall,
irrigation work, landscaping and restoration of all disturbed areas within the medians on
Busse Road from Mark Street to Oakton Street.
(The lowest responsive and responsible bid was received from Mai-tam Construction, Inc.,
of Elgin, IL in the amount of$1,952,991.
(The Director of Public Works recommends approval.)
e. Consideration to adopt Ordinance No. 3433 (attached) amending the Position
Classification & Salary Plan of the Village Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village.
(In order to address several personnel changes in the Public Works Department and
Finance Department and for the purpose of greater organizational efficiencies, an
amendment to the Village's Position Classification & Salary Plan is necessary.)
7. REGULAR AGENDA
a. Consideration to approve sign variations for Hamilton Partners, Inc. at 1090 Thorndale
Avenue, 2700 Lively Boulevard and 851 Devon Avenue.
(Variations are necessary to allow eight feet(8') tall monument signs with a width of
seventeen feet (1 T) and a total sign area of sixty-five (65) square feet per side.
(The proposed monument signs will be located at three locations within the Business Park
and are intended to identify the entrance into the Business Park.
(The Director of Community Development recommends approval.)

bulk requirement of a one hundred (100) foot minimum front yard line on property located
at 85 Northwest Point Boulevard. (PH 10-7-2015)

a. ZBA Docket 15-6 - Public Hearing to consider a petition for a variation from the
provisions of Zoning Ordinance 2410 as it pertains to front yard setbacks in residential
zoning districts on property located at 299 Laurel Street. (PH 9-24-2015)
