Number of pages attached: 1 Date(s) of review for release: January 2018 Date of approval for release: Date approved by Village Board: July 18, 2017 June 20, 2017 6:49 p.m. Land Acquisition The Township originally bought land for a portion of their current site on Arlington Heights Road from the Tollway at a cost of $38,000 in the 1970s. As a part of that transaction the Tollway has right of first refusal at the original sale price for this land, which amounts to about half of the property. The Township was counting on the proceeds from the sale of this property to build out and improve the current Public Works facility on Landmeier to meet their needs. The Tollway doesn't have a need for the land, but it is not yet certain if they will require financial compensation to give up the rights to the land. The outcome of this transition could impact the pending real estate swap involving the Township's Chelmsford property and the Village's Public Works facility on Landmeier. The Village will explore a trade of its Lake property to the Tollway in exchange for the right of first refusal. The meeting was adjourned at 6:53 p.m.
