AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO GERBER COLLISION
AND GLASS TO OPERATE AN AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR CENTER IN AN I-2
INDUSTRIAL ZONED DISTRICT (2450 S. ELMHURST ROAD)
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Village, sitting as a
Zoning Commission, considered the question of granting a Special Use Permit to Gerber
Collision and Glass to operate an automotive repair center for property located at 2450 S.
Elmhurst Road, Elk Grove Village, Illinois, which property is located in an I-2 Industrial Zoned
District; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees, after having reviewed the
recommendation and finding of said Plan Commission, find and believe that it is in the best
interest of the Village to grant the Special Use as conditioned by the Plan Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That there be granted a Special Use Permit to Gerber Collision and Glass to
permit the operation of an automotive repair center in an I-2 Industrial Zoned District for
property located at 2450 S. Elmhurst Road, Elk Grove Village, Illinois subject to the following
conditions:
1. The Petitioner must provide a scalable site plan with dimensions for review and approval
by Village staff.
2. The Petitioner must provide a code compliant parking plan for review and approval by
Village staff.
3. Prior to occupancy, the facility must be inspected by the Fire Department and Department
of Community Development to verify compliance with all applicable codes associated
with an automotive repair facility.
Section 2: That this Special Use Permit is only valid for Gerber Collision and Glass at
2450 S. Elmhurst Road and expires at the time that Gerber Collision and Glass is no longer
located at the subject property.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval according to law.
