AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6-4-3-1 ONE AND TWO-WAY STOP
INTERSECTIONS OF THE ELK GROVE VILLAGE CODE TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL
STOP SIGN AT WALNUT LANE
WHEREAS, the Police Department has conducted a safety study regarding a need for stop signs
at certain intersections in the Village: and
WHEREAS, as a result of said study it was recommended that one additional stop sign be
installed at Walnut Lane at Maple Lane; and
WHEREAS, after a review of said recommendation, the Mayor and Board of Trustees believe it
to be in the best interest of the Village for said stop sign to be installed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That Section 6-4-3-1 of the Village Code be amended by adding thereto the following:

Walnut Lane Maple Lane
Section 2: Any person violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be subject to a fine
of not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each
offense.
Section 3: The Village Clerk is hereby authorized to publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form.
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication according to law.
