Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting
of the Village President and Board of Trustees on January 22, 2013, this Executive Session was
called to consider a Land Acquisition matter.

Land Acquisition
The Village Board was advised that the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit is interested in selling
their vacant property in order to fund improvements to the church. The property would be an ideal
location for the Mid-Summer Classics Concert Series. The Board expressed concern that the
property could be sold to the High School or Park District and that the Village would be unable to
control the use of the property. Parking could be made available that would add an additional 60
spaces. The property is on 100 to 500 year flood land. The consensus of the Board is to direct
staff to have an appraisal of the property conducted to determine the value of the land.
