Pursuant to a duty made and approved motion and a majority vote ata regularly scheduled meeting
of the Village President and Board of Trustees on December 17, 2013, this Executive Session was
called to consider a Personnel matter.

Personnel
The Village Board was advised that Deputy Chief Scott Miller is retiring from the Village to
accept the position of Fire Chief with the City of Freeport. The consensus of the Village Board
was to create the position of Battalion Chief-Administration and appoint Lance Harris to the
position. Lance Harris will be groomed into the position of Deputy Chief which will remain
vacant until January 2015.
