HELD ON JANUARY 14TH, 2019
Approval of Minutes
Review of Minutes from December 18th, 2018 – The Minutes were approved.
Invoices for Approval
An Invoice from Alan F. Friedman dated December 3rd, 2018 for Psych testing for 2 Firefighters
in the amount of 1,370.
An Invoice from Ottosen Britz Kelly Cooper dated November 30th 2018 for Legal Services in the
amount of 2135
An Invoice from Advocate Occupation Health dated December 31, 2018 for Medical Evaluations
in the amount of 1654.
An invoice from Advocate Occupation Health dated December 31, 2018 for Medical Evaluations
in the amount of 950
All Invoices were approved.
Correspondence
Correspondence from Chief Walsh regarding a written reprimand for a Police Officer dated
January 4th, 2019.
Old Business
1. Background Reviews - There were no backgrounds for the commission to review.
2. Fire Department Vacancy - The commission approved the hiring of 2 new Firefighters. The
firefighters will begin on January 21st.
3. Police Department Updates - None
4. Police Multiple Interviews – Multiple Interviews progressed as planned. The last day of
interviews are planned for today.
New Business
1. Creation of New Police List – The commission anticipates that the new list will be
released next week.
Eligibility List
1. Firefighter Eligibility List will expire on 09/15/2019.
2. Fire Lieutenant Eligibility list scheduled to expire on 02/27/2020.
3. Police Officer Eligibility list Expires 02/21/2019
4. Police Sergeant Eligibility list scheduled to expire on 07/08/2021.
Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 2:45pm. The commission then went into Executive Session to Interview
applicants.
